IMPORTANT UPDATE: Beginning May 8, 2021, we will be operating four scheduled trains per day, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM.  You may purchase tickets on the day of your train ride, with no pre-sales.  Please arrive at the depot a minimum of twenty (20) minutes prior to departure time.  Please respect social distancing, and until further advisement by the TSA, masks are required on the platform.  No food or beverages on our trains please, water is fine. Rail Explorers will continue to operate. The Railroad Museum Pavilion is open regular hours, but no display cars will be open. Face covering must be worn at all times; respect social distancing.

As of November 13, 2020, the Open Air Pavilion of the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City is open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. However, tours inside the caboose, Railway Post Office (RPO) car, and the Ellsmere are not available at this time. The gift shop also remains closed at this time. When visiting the Museum, please maintain 6 feet of distance from other visitors; staff, volunteers and visitors are to wear masks at all times when in the Museum facility. Rail Explorers are in operation. Museum regular hours are 9:00am to 3:30pm, 7 Days a Week. The Museum is closed on Nevada Holidays.

The Outdoor Pavilion Exhibits includes a steam and diesel locomotives, a vintage caboose and Railway Post Office car are open during these hours, subject to staffing availability.

On weekends, visit the Model Railroad car, and Live Steamer trains. All are subject to staffing availability. Steamers normally operate on the second and fourth Saturdays. For more information, visit our Events page HERE.

Regular Weekend Rides ONLY:

Adults (12 yrs and up) - $10.00

Child (4-11 yrs) - $5.00

Children (3 yrs and under) - Free

Special Event Pricing Separate

Groups: 12 or more ADULT tickets may be purchased in a block at least 15 minutes before departure time. Cost is $7 per adult.

Cab Rides - $35.00 per person; subject to engineers approval.

Caboose Rides - $20.00 per person
